Canada Post Strike
Due to ongoing, unpredictable labour disruptions affecting Canada Post (CP), which have resulted in the suspension of all service guarantees across their national network, Bright Bean Toys has made an immediate and necessary operational change to protect the reliability of your order delivery.
Effective immediately, we are exclusively using a network of private carriers (including Canpar and FedEx) for all shipments within Canada. These logistics partners are entirely independent of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike action, ensuring greater stability and better transit times.
What You Need to Know About Your Shipment
- Reliable Transit Times
-
- Order Processing Time: We require 1–2 business days to prepare, package, and dispatch your order.
- Transit Time: After your order is picked up, standard ground shipping to major Canadian metropolitan areas is typically 2–5 business days. You will have full visibility of the carrier and estimated delivery date at checkout
2. Proactive Tracking
All shipments include full, real-time tracking provided directly by the carrier (e.g., Canpar and FedEx). Once your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation with a tracking number and a direct link to monitor your package's journey.
Important Service Limitations (Please Read Carefully)
To guarantee reliable and cost-effective service through our logistics network, we are mandated to implement the following geographical exclusions. If your address falls into one of the categories below, we will be unable to process and ship your order, and your transaction will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
| Limitation | Details | Why This Exclusion is Necessary |
| P.O. Boxes | We cannot deliver to Canada Post P.O. Boxes or similar postal rental services. |
Private couriers are not authorized or logistically equipped to deliver to P.O. boxes, which are part of the Canada Post infrastructure. |
| Canadian Territories |
We cannot ship to the Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut (any postal code starting with X or Y). |
Private carriers require air freight and charge prohibitively high costs for these regions, which makes standard e-commerce shipping financially unsustainable. |
| Remote Provincial Areas |
We cannot service provincial locations that are designated as remote by our private carriers (typically where the second character of the postal code is 0, e.g., A0A, P0X). |
These areas trigger Extended Area Surcharges (EAS) from private carriers, which can significantly exceed the cost of the item itself. |
Helpful Advice for Ordering
- Always Use a Physical Street Address: Please ensure your shipping address is a full residential or business street address. This is critical for all private carrier services.
- Check Your Postal Code: If you live in a remote area, verify your postal code before ordering to avoid automatic cancellation.
- Stay Informed: We will provide the best information available. Utilizing your tracking number is the fastest way to get real-time status updates on your delivery.
