How to have Fun in Fall

When it comes to enjoying this colourful season there are so many fun different ways you & your child can enjoy the autumn weather. Sometimes it can can seem overwhelming with all the different options. We’ve gathered a couple ideas for you to try out with your family as you take in the autumn season & all it has to offer.

Apples Galore 

Everyone loves a delicious apple! & during this season you can find so many delicious apple treats! Visit a farm and pick some with your children, have some homemade cider as well. Look up some apple orchards near around your area and go on a fun adventure that your children are to remember. Another fun thing to do is to pick up some apples and make some delicious homemade apple sauce. All you have to do is add some butter to a pan and then add your peeled and sliced apples to the pan. Sauté the apples until they’re soft and keep stirring it, perhaps add a little bit of water and some cinnamon & then you are ready for a delicious treat on a cold autumn’s day!

Explore a Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin patches are filled with fun actives for you and your family! Many farms are able to occupy families for an entire day. Try to pick a time in the week and not on the weekend to attend a pumpkin patch, weekends tend to be more busy than weekdays. Sometimes its best to keep it simple, your child might just want to play. Let them explore the pumpkins and perhaps run around. Most pumpkin patches have play areas designed just for it! Don’t forget to pick ups pumpkin before you head home. 

Build a Fort / Fairy House

Fall is a magical time, perhaps it’s that nature is shifting, or the delicious treats, but autumn is a time where fairytales come to life for your little one. Help your little one create a fort in the backyard this Fall, gather some sticks and leaves to help their vision come alive. Another fun autumn task could be creating some fairy houses to place in the backyard. This activity allows your little ones Imagination to soar as they decorate and craft fairy homes with leaves and twigs. Remember to give your children the space to play independently and you’ll be in awe with how they come up with new games and projects!

Campfire

With it getting dark earlier, this can be a magical time for you to spend time with your little one. Set up a campfire in your backyard and bring some delicious treats to share. Roast marshmallows or tell stories to one another, or just enjoy each others company and the beautiful evening.
