Bright Box 2: First Steps & Early Words

Ages: 12–24 months

Between one and two years old, toddlers experience incredible developmental growth. Many children begin walking independently, exploring their environment with curiosity, while also starting to use their first words to communicate needs and ideas.

Bright Box 2 was curated with guidance from Speech-Language Pathologist Lauren Reznick to support this exciting stage of early mobility and language development. The toys in this box encourage toddlers to move, experiment, and interact with caregivers through playful learning experiences.

Together these toys support balance, coordination, problem-solving, and early communication skills. They create opportunities for toddlers to practice walking confidently, explore how objects fit together, and begin expressing themselves through imaginative and interactive play.
