Vickie the Brave

Vickie is feeling afraid of shots as she waits for her turn at a vaccine clinic. This book provides children help in overcoming their fear of shots while exploring the benefits of a vaccine. Rhyme, imagination, and visual steps engage the young reader and show how easy it is to be brave when getting a shot. This story was created by a Certified School Nurse to acknowledge a child's fear while helping them conquer that fear with age-appropriate tricks and, of course, TLC. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are promoted as each child discovers how easy it is to be brave.
